Develop technical skills and some business knowledge in Global Shareholding / Short Sell Regulations Person Specification The following skills and experience are required for this role: Team Regulatory Technology team develops and supports applications required to ensure regulatory compliance. Compliance rules and business areas covered include: The Investment Firm Review Capital and Liquidity Reporting and Directive (counterparty risk, net position risk, concentration risk), Liquidity risk, Client Money, MiFID II Transaction Reporting, US regulatory reporting (15c3-1) and Global Shareholding and Short Sell monitoring. Significant regulation changes drive large projects but on a day-to-day basis, the team enhances the existing platforms to support business growth and improve reporting capabilities, accuracy and transparency. Role Within the Shareholding space, for someone with experience of dealing with large, complex sets of interrelated data. Previous work on projects requiring the sequential processing of disparate data sets will be helpful. Familiarity with Financial Products and Regulatory Reporting business and technology would be an advantage. The candidate will be part of the existing development team based in London focussed on Global Shareholding Reporting. They will be expected to build on their knowledge of existing platforms and technologies and gain new knowledge in various financial instruments. Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities are: - Analysis for upcoming work and interface with BAs for Compliance Team - Analyse, Develop, Test and support the User Acceptance phase. - Develop technical skills and some business knowledge in Global Shareholding / Short Sell Regulations Person Specification The following skills and experience are required for this role: · Good Axiom toolset experience (beyond mapping inputs directly to reports) · Good experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL · Candidate should be comfortable in a Unix terminal environment. · Previous experience of working in the Financial Services industry preferable · Strong desire to learn and apply learnt knowledge · Good interpersonal skills, written & verbal communication skills Desirable skills · Linux or Unix background with experience in Shell Scripting and use of command line tools · Experience of handling large, complex data sets, e.g input / enhancement layer within Axiom · Verifying and testing objects after migration/installation · JIRA/Agile development methods · Test case plan, execution and documentation · Comfortable liaising with BAs on requirements/testing If you are keen to join us, you will be part of an organization that values your contributions, recognizes your potential, and provides ample opportunities for growth.
