We advise major New Zealand and international clients, including private equity and infrastructure investors, on market leading transactions. We are part of a market leading national Corporate practice, with Tier 1 Rankings across: * IFLR – Mergers & Acquisitions * IFLR – Capital Markets * Chambers – Corporate/Commercial * Legal 500 - Corporate & M&A Our Wellington Corporate team has recently advised: * Infratil on multiple secondary capital raisings on the NZX Main Board, including its $1.275bn capital raising in 2024. *  Resolution Life on its acquisition of the New Zealand life insurance company, Asteron Life New Zealand, for NZ$410m. * Australian and international private equity firms such as Quadrant and TPG on acquisitions and divestments of New Zealand assets. * Infratil in relation to its acquisition of a majority interest in CDC Data Centres and the sale of its majority interest in Manawa Energy to Contact Energy. * River Capital on its acquisition of Aspire2 Group Limited, a leading New Zealand-based education business, from Archer Capital.  * Z Energy on its $2b takeover by Ampol by way of scheme of arrangement.  * Kiwi Group Holdings on the sale of: * Kiwi Wealth to Fisher Funds for NZ$310m, and * Kiwi Insurance to nib for $45m. * The New Zealand Treasury on Air New Zealand’s NZ$2.2b recapitalisation package, including the New Zealand Government’s participation in Air New Zealand’s $1.2b underwritten rights issue, and associated funding arrangements.
