This role will lead full-cycle accounting, manage payroll, track multi-year production costs, and head our annual property tax filings. This position will work full-time from our Santa Monica, CA office. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: * Prepare accurate balance sheets, income statements, and profitability reports. * Prepare data for local, state, and federal tax returns and other CPA data requests * Oversee reconciliation of all ledger accounts, sub-ledgers, and bank statements. * Manage the full cycle close process, including accruals, deferrals, and journal entries. * Supervise, train, and review the work of junior bookkeepers or accounting clerks. * Distribute direct and indirect overhead costs to specific products or departments * Manage full-cycle payroll processing (bi-weekly) for regular, seasonal employees using a payroll processing platform * Oversee the submission of payroll taxes, W-2s and 1099s * File accurate business property statements annually with California county assessors.
