Whether you're helping someone learn to navigate public transportation, prepare a meal, build friendships, explore employment, or achieve greater independence, every day is an opportunity to make a lasting impact. ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Independent Living Skills Specialist, you'll work one-on-one with adults in their homes and throughout the community to help them reach their goals and live as independently as possible. You'll: * Coach and teach independent living skills based on each person's unique goals and strengths. * Partner with individuals to develop personalized, person-centered plans that promote growth and independence. * Support healthy living through nutrition, wellness, exercise, and daily routines. * Encourage participation in community activities, recreation, volunteering, and relationship building. * Assist individuals in exploring employment interests and developing workplace readiness skills. * Collaborate with families, support teams, and community partners to provide coordinated services. * Track progress, document outcomes, and celebrate achievements along the way.
