Position Title: Research Coordinator Reports to: Head of Translational Research FT/PT : PT, hybrid position Location : UK, Crawley Office   Position Summary: Leo Cancer Care is pioneering a novel approach to radiotherapy where patients are treated upright rather than lying down. As part of this mission, we work closely with clinical partners, academic institutions and research consortia to advance the science around this paradigm shift.   We're looking for a part time Research Coordinator to support and help drive our research ecosystem. You'll work at the intersection of industry, academia and clinical research- coordinating projects, building relationships with collaborators, and helping ensure research runs smoothly from initial ideas to published outcomes.   This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on organisation, and wants exposure to cutting-edge cancer research without necessarily performing the research themselves. It is a hybrid role associated with our UK office.   Key Responsibilities: Project & programme coordination * Support teams with research project planning, tracking, milestones and deliverables to keep a broad portfolio of projects moving * Liaise with collaborators (clinicians, academics, students, charity partners and patient representatives) to arrange research agreements, visits, meetings and study logistics Grant & funding support * Support grant applications by coordinating input from contributors, tracking submission deadlines, and assisting with drafting and formatting Events & community building * Organise workshops, seminars and newsletters that foster networking and showcase research * Coordinate speakers and manage research event logistics Communications * Manage websites and mailing lists for research consortia, keeping partners informed and engaged Relevant Knowledge and Skill requirements: Required * A Bachelor’s degree, plus around 5 years of relevant work experience or a Masters degree, plus around 3 years of relevant work experience * Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects, ideally across different organisations or institutions * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. senior clinicians, industry partners, professors, students) * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously * A collaborative, proactive mindset - comfortable motivating and coordinating colleagues * The ability to quickly get up to speed on research needs across different radiotherapy projects * Willingness to travel internationally occasionally (up to a couple of times per year) to partner sites or events Preferred * Experience in a radiotherapy research or teaching environment * Relevant postgraduate degree(s) * Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and presentation * Experience writing for different audiences (e.g. academic, general public) * Formal project management training or certification (e.g. Prince2, Agile/Scrum) About Leo Cancer Care  Leo Cancer Care is helping make changes in Radiation Therapy by shifting to upright patient positioning, imaging and treatment.
