It's about strengthening the financial backbone of a company that is scaling fast, globally, and with high standards. We are looking for a Meticulous Accounting Specialist, with 5+ years of accounting experience, to help us keep our accounting accurate, consistent, and internationally sound across multiple entities: month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and the application of international accounting best practices rather than a single country's GAAP. This is a role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, cares about accuracy, and takes ownership. Someone who notices when numbers don't add up, asks the right questions, and genuinely cares about doing things properly across borders, not just within one jurisdiction.  You'll work closely with external accountants and auditors in each jurisdiction, the wider Finance Team, and stakeholders across the business to make sure our accounting is reliable, consistent, and scalable as we add entities.  This role is for people who like being hands-on with the numbers. Not just reviewing reports from afar, but actually shaping how accounting works day to day across a multi-entity group.   Team Finance at Laminar is much more than reporting numbers and processing payments. We are building the operational and accounting foundation that allows the business to scale globally, responsibly, and sustainably. Even as a relatively lean team, Finance has a huge impact across the company. We care deeply about accounting accuracy, financial stability, strong controls, and consistency across the entities and countries where we operate. We want to build an accounting function that thinks in terms of the whole group, applies international best practice consistently, and gets sharper as we grow. That means the fundamentals matter a lot here: the books need to close accurately and on time and financial information needs to be trustworthy and comparable across entities. But beyond that, we want people who challenge inconsistent practices, improve processes, automate repetitive work, and help us build a better accounting function for the future.   Your top four objectives 1. Keep our accounting accurate, complete, and closed on time across all entities 2. Apply international accounting best practices consistently, rather than defaulting to a single country's GAAP 3. Strengthen controls and reconciliations across multi-entity and intercompany balances 4. Help build a scalable accounting function that supports global growth, improving and automating our routines   Your top responsibilities  * Own multi-entity accounting Support and help manage month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting across entities in different countries, ensuring everything closes accurately and on time. * Apply international best practice Bring a consistent, internationally-minded approach to accounting treatment across entities, rather than treating each one as a purely local exercise.  * Strengthen controls and accuracy Perform checks, reconciliations, and reviews across financial data, including intercompany and bank reconciliations. Investigate inconsistencies and resolve issues proactively.  * Improve systems and workflows Use Excel and Power Query to structure, clean, analyse, and consolidate finance data across entities. Help automate manual tasks and create more scalable ways of working.  * Collaborate across the business Work closely with external accountants, auditors, and internal stakeholders across jurisdictions to ensure smooth coordination and clear, consistent reporting.   Your Capabilities You are an accounting professional who thinks beyond a single country's rulebook and cares about accuracy, ownership, and consistency across a multi-entity group. You enjoy being close to the detail, spotting issues before they become problems, and improving the way things work – not just repeating the same local process every month. You are organised, proactive, comfortable working independently, and naturally curious about how accounting practices, data, and systems can work better together across borders.  As a candidate, you should have:  Must-Have * 5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally across multiple entities, countries, or an international business * Comfortable applying international accounting best practices, not focused solely on one country's GAAP * Strong Excel skills and solid Power Query experience * Experience with reconciliations, financial data, and accounting controls  * Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies quickly  * Comfortable taking ownership and operating autonomously  * Clear communication skills in English  * Comfortable using AI/tools to improve efficiency and solve problems  Nice to Have * Power BI experience * A recognised accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) * Experience with consolidations or intercompany accounting * Experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting systems * Comfortable operating in fast-moving, international environments   Laminar isn't the place for you if any of the following is true:  * You want an easy, chilled-out role without much challenge * You like to be the smartest person in the room  * You don't like continuously receiving honest candid feedback  * You prefer to do your own thing rather than work with a team  ___________________________________________________________ Benefits   The Standard Stuff:  * Health Insurance Scheme. Comprehensive private health coverage – for you and your family.
