As an Event Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind executing events for the special event venue space at our Pittsburgh, PA property. You’ll create seamless experiences, manage event logistics, and play a key role in building relationships that inspire repeat business and positive word-of-mouth. Reporting to the Director of Event Sales leadership, the ideal candidate for the Event Coordinator position requires organization skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate duties are imperative. Excellent communication skills are required to create productive relationships with vendors and sponsors, which is key to a successful career.    This position is located on-site at our downtown Pittsburgh property. The Event Coordinator is a part-time position (~25-30 hours/week) and pays $22.75/hour. This person will be required to work evenings, nights and weekends, based on the needs of the business and our guests.  WHAT YOU'LL DO * Oversee all aspects of day-of events, including venue setup, logistics, and day-of coordination to ensure flawless execution.  * Serve as the first point of contact for vendors and contractors, providing direction and support as needed. * Support the Director of Event Sales with conducting property tours and educating potential clients on our event spaces and potential.  * Support with client communication - responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service throughout the planning and event execution process.  * Build and maintain relationships with vendors and secure permits as needed for food, beverage, décor, entertainment, and other services.  * Partner with property leadership and non-property teams to ensure alignment on event goals and deliverables to ensure successful event execution.  * Monitor event areas during the event and ensure safety of all guests. * Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the event. * Oversee the breakdown of events and ensure that all items are removed and all event materials are stored properly following the event. * Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
