We design and operate high-acuity, in-person clinics across the United States. Our model integrates psychiatry, therapy, primary care, dietitians, and community health workers under one roof to deliver coordinated, longitudinal care for a population that has historically been fragmented across systems. The Role We are seeking a Primary Care Clinician (FNP, MD, or DO) for a 1099 contract role at our Los Angeles, CA clinic. This position requires an on-site commitment of 4–5 hours per week. What You'll Work On * Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and manage acute and chronic illnesses while considering their impact on mental health * Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring safe and effective use, while considering potential interactions with psychiatric medications * Perform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings, integrating the findings with mental health care plans * Educate members on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions * Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation integrated with mental health care plans * Participate in ongoing professional development and attend regular team meetings * Uphold Amae Health's commitment to providing compassionate, holistic, and culturally sensitive care What You'll Have * NP Degree from an accredited school or MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school * Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in California * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty * For NP PCP candidates, minimum of 5 years RN experience prior to PCP licensure and 1+ year experience as FNP after completion of clinical hours preferred * Previous experience working independently as a PCP * Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and embrace a whole-person care approach * Strong commitment to patient-centered care * Preferred experience in primary care for patients with severe mental illness What We're Building As a clinician at Amae, you are not adjacent to this work. Compensation & Benefits Amae Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Hourly compensation for this role will vary by on licensure.
