In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business across our Acquiring, Card, FX, and Payment API product suite, targeting eCommerce retailers, marketplaces, online travel agents, and other high-potential verticals. As a Senior Account Executive, you will combine deep payments expertise with a strong commercial mindset to deliver consistent results across the Mid-Market segment. Beyond individual contribution, you will play a critical role as a senior member of the team—acting as a trusted partner to the Sales Manager, supporting team development, and elevating overall sales performance. RESPONSIBILITIES * Proactively identify, hunt, and convert new business opportunities across Australia, leveraging your network, industry expertise, and strategic prospecting. * Own and drive the full sales cycle end-to-end, from prospecting through to close, across Mid-Market accounts. * Lead complex commercial negotiations, partnering closely with Legal, Finance, and Strategy to execute agreements. * Build, manage, and maintain a high-quality pipeline, while contributing to the definition and evolution of sales best practices for the Australian business. * Act as a 2IC to the Sales Manager, providing leadership support, stepping in where required, and helping drive team performance and accountability. * Mentor and coach Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), supporting their progression, prospecting effectiveness, and conversion into pipeline. * Take on a broader mentorship role within the sales team, sharing best practices, contributing to onboarding, and uplifting capability across peers and junior team members. * Act as a role model for sales excellence, setting the standard across deal execution, customer engagement, and internal collaboration.
