Role Description and Mission: The Senior Machine Learning Engineer plays a crucial role in advancing the capabilities of our machine learning initiatives. This position is pivotal in developing and deploying cutting-edge algorithms and models to enhance our operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction metrics. Key Outcomes: * Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery. * Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct feasibility analysis, and deliver scalable solutions. * Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance. * Ensure adherence to best practices in machine learning, including model evaluation, validation, and monitoring. * Drive innovation and continuous improvement in machine learning applications and processes. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. * Stay abreast of advancements in machine learning techniques and technologies to recommend improvements and new approaches. Skills, Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. * 3-5 years of experience in software application development and design experience. * 3-5 years experience working with Machine Learning systems. * 3-5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker). * 5+ years experience in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn). * Experience building large, complex systems, particularly web services, RESTful APIs, and continuous integration and delivery. * Experience with tree based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL are nice to have. * Understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with other teams. * Motivated to understand the nuances of data and its impact on the business.
