Hanwha Energy USA has set out to have Chariot Energy become one of the leading energy retail providers (by RCE count) within 5-years of Chariot Energy’s launch.   POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Complex Billing Analyst to join our innovative and fast-paced organization. As a key leader within the billing operations team, the Senior Complex Billing Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our complex billing processes related to Large Commercial and Industrial accounts, which are integral to the company’s revenue assurance and operational success. This position requires an individual with a deep understanding of the retail energy market, especially within deregulated environments, and an expert-level knowledge of ERCOT regulations and advanced billing systems. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of billing, from developing and executing strategies that drive billing accuracy and compliance, to identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and lead initiatives that enhance the overall effectiveness of the billing operations. The ideal candidate will not only bring extensive experience in managing complex billing structures but will also have a forward-thinking mindset, capable of anticipating challenges and proactively designing solutions. This position is based in Houston, and the ideal candidate will be within commutable distance to the Houston office location. The position will be located outside the Chariot Energy Houston office.   RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop, implement and manage effective billing strategies, policies and procedures for residential, commercial and industrial accounts. * Monitor and analyze revenue performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement. * Utilize data and analytics to analyze trends and patterns in data, driving decision-making and strategy adjustments, and providing insights and recommendations to senior management. * Oversee the end-to-end billing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness. * Oversee all aspects of client contracts assigned ensuring all elements are properly accounted for in CE systems during setup and invoicing/billing processes * Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding). * Review, investigate, and recommend action on product structure and market insights * Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements. * Manage, maintain, and report on revenue performance to management. * Action the dispute resolution process from end to end, by proactively mitigating customer disputes, negotiating and ensuring customer disputes to resolution and document root cause. * Manage and adhere to compliance protocols as outlined by the Public Utility Commissions and other government entities. * Establish controls to bridge identified gaps between other business stakeholders. * Proactively identify and resolve existing and potential future account issues in a timely and accurate fashion by displaying an acute attention to detail. * Adhere to Retail Market Guide protocols as set forth by ERCOT, PJM, NYISO and NEPOOL. * Take the lead when changes and proposed regulations occur to understand potential gaps to current processes and formulate solutions to comply. * Establish and maintain positive business relationships with internal customers and key stakeholders in the revenue process. * Achieve excellence by delivering on key performance indicators (KPI’s).   REQUIRED COMPETENCIES * Analytical- Proven problem-solving capability with strong analytical skills including statistical analysis, * Stakeholder Engagement– Understands the importance of seeking out relationships and working with others toward a shared goal. * Effective Communication- Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Agility- Demonstrate willingness to modify position as needed to meet the needs of the business.    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in business or related areas from an accredited four-year university OR minimum two years previous supervisor experience in Complex Billing Operations can substitute for a degree. * Minimum of 5 years’ operations experience in back-office operations (i.e., customer set up, Complex billing, contract management, customer relations). * Experience in the deregulated energy market, primarily ERCOT, PJM, NYISO and NEPOOL. * Familiarity with complex billing structure. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends, analyze data, and make informed decisions. * Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills. * Proven experience managing revenue generation for customers in the commercial/industrial/retail energy markets. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite. * Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. * Eligible to work in the USA for any employer without sponsorship.   COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $110,000 salary   Attention external recruitment firms, we will not accept any unsolicited resumes at this time.
