Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.   DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------- Captivation Software is looking for a mid level systems engineer who will assist with daily responsibilities and be able to travel 3x/year for 7-10 days at a time.   REQUIREMENTS ---------------------------------------- SECURITY CLEARANCE: * Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus four (4) year of systems engineering experience. * A High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area) may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. * A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline  from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of systems engineering experience. * A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field  or a related discipline from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three (3) years of systems engineering experience. REQUIRED SKILLS: * Experience with coding Python and Visual Basic for applications * Strong experience in applying RF theoretical and academic knowledge in EMI testing unintended emissions within HF, VHF, and UHF spectrum * Familiar with RF tools (network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes) and components (amplifiers, filters, isolators, attenuators, terminators, etc.) * Formulating and documenting test plans * Draft and issue technical recommendations through formal test reports * Specify and/or review system and component technical performance requirements to ensure optimal functionality while meeting E3 noise electric field limit. * Collaborate internal and external agency stakeholders to ensure technical support enables the E3 Program and customer mission requirements DESIRED SKILLS: * Preferred but not required to have experience in electromagnetic compatibility testing, electromagnetic interference mitigation, and /or antenna calibration.   This position is open for direct hires only.
